Interlibrary lending services
ILLS: Inter Library Lending Services
The Library provides loans of non-University materials from libraries worldwide for University faculty, students and staff. Materials that you may borrow from other universities worldwide are articles, books, dissertations, government documents, technical reports, patents and newspapers. In some cases videos and sound recordings are also available. Our response time is usually 3 - 10 working days.
Interlibrary Lending Services is proud to offer online web requesting services. To request an article or book, visit the Library's online catalogue to search your material. Complete the Request a Book, Journal Article or Electronic Resource or submit the PDF form to the Circulation Desk.
Materials borrowed from another institution may be renewed depending on the lending library's policy. The slip that you receive with your material will indicate if renewal is allowed by that institution. Renewals must be requested at the Circulation Desk. The lending library has the prerogative to recall an item at any time. If this occurs, an e-mail will be sent to you.
Interlibrary Lending Services does not charge for interlibrary loans. However, users are expected to pay any interlibrary loan charges over SR…. that are imposed by another library. You will be notified before the transaction if this might be the case.
Delivery of Material
Articles will be delivered to Faculty, students and researchers via e-mail in PDF format, but the hard copy of books will not be delivered. The borrower may pick up the material requested from the Library Circulation Desk.
